Cockburn Sound State Environmental Policy

Overview

The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation is currently reviewing the State Environmental (Cockburn Sound) Policy 2015 (SEP): State Environmental Policy for Cockburn Sound. This review aims to consider whether the SEP’s current level of support for environmental values in Cockburn Sound (Derbal Nara) is sufficient, and to ensure the SEP addresses cumulative impacts in Cockburn Sound (Derbal Nara) over coming decades.

This public consultation closes 8 September 2026.
